Have you always wanted to try your hand at floristry but not sure where to start or just want to learn the basics. We might be able to help you out. Basic floristry lessons are now being offered and will continue through to more involved lessons as the classes progress. Classes will be held at our studio in Veresdale Scrub (between Jimboomba and Beaudesert).
Please register your interest on the form below so that we can get a good idea of how many students and/or classes we need to cater for. Please note that these will not be accredited or certificate classes, they are purely for personal interest. Who knows you might just realise your true calling!!! Nothing ventured - nothing gained.
Class dates and times will depend on demand, but we will cater for most times such as evenings and weekends.
All supplies and requirements will be included in costs (**). You only need to bring yourself and your creative enthusiasm.

Beginners class 1:
How to prepare & care for your flowers
Safety issues
Introduction to floristry tools & items
In this class you will learn how to make a round (Strauss) bouquet
A small table arrangement &
A large presentation arrangement
This is a full day class from 9am to 4pm ~ $235 per person inclusive of all flowers & materials
Funeral/sympathy arrangements Class 2:
How to make up a sheaf bouquet
How to make up a spray of flowers in a bat holder
How to make a casket spray
Full day 9am to 4pm ~ $300 per person inclusive of all flowers & materials
Wedding work Class 3:
Bridal posy
Corsages
Buttonholes
Hair piece
Full day 9am to 4pm ~ $250 per person inclusive of all flowers & materials
Wedding work Class 4:
Trailing or teardrop bouquet
1. using a bridie holder
2. fully wired hand constructed
Full day 9am to 4pm ~ $275 per person inclusive of all flowers & materials
CLASS TIMES ARE VERY FLEXIBLE: Times are approx & can be altered to suit, ie start & finish later, weekdays or weekends. Classes may be split over two days to allow for school hours (must be consecutive days due to flower freshness).
Confirmation of class is accepted upon 50% deposit payment of chosen class. This is due 7 days prior to class to allow for ordering of flowers. Final payment on the day.
Cancellations: deposit is non-refundable as I have timetabled this date for you & flowers/materials have been ordered and/or purchased specifically for this class. You may collect your ordered class flowers within 24 hours of cancellation for your own use.
No refunds for no-shows.
If you introduce another student to the same class I will discount your fee by 10%.
Classes can start any time, based on interest.
Please note that these classes are not accredited or give you any qualifications. They are purely for personal use & interest, skill development or maybe those brides who want to try to make there own bouquets.

If you wish to purchase your own flowers, I will give you a list of the requirements for each class. Bringing the wrong flowers may result in unsatisfactory results. My hourly rate is standard industry $25/hour = $175 per class - plus your time & the cost in sourcing your own flowers & materials.**)
Morning/Afternoon teas provided, bring your own lunch if required.
